W&M opened its first office in 1995 and has grown to four offices in Texas. Since our beginning, we have offered a wide range of cost-effective environmental services in which we utilize senior professionals to manage projects and a highly educated staff (most of our employees have advanced technical degrees) to meet specific needs. Our primary service areas are Environmental Compliance, Environmental Consulting, Natural Resources, and Industrial Hygiene/Safety.

Our founder, Michael Whitehead, built the company on the belief that a smaller company can provide better services for less cost to his clients. W&M developed a reputation as a firm that stressed high quality deliverables with reasonable prices. Early in the business, W&M began hiring recent college graduates with engineering, geology, or environmental science emphasis and training them in how to provide high quality environmental services that had short deadlines. These professionals now make up our key professional support staff having over three to five years of experience working with our senior staff. The W&M team has excellent working relationships with the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and a variety of state and local agencies.
