March Employee Spotlight: Jeremiah Roy

Meet our March Employee Spotlight and first-rate Environmental Scientist, Jeremiah Roy! Where are you from and what was your area of study as an undergrad? I was born and raised in Groves, Texas near the Gulf Coast. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Geography, with a focus in Earth Science & Geographic Information Systems (GIS). What led you to pursue a career in Environmental Science? My love of the great outdoors and working closely with professors at UT whose research and mentorship inspired me to pursue a career improving the environment. What is your role at W&M? I’m an Environmental Scientist that works mostly in our Remediation group, which includes conducting soil and groundwater investigations, overseeing the clean-up of impacted properties, and producing reports for our clients. Get to know one of our many fantastic Environmental Scientists, Richie Sleger! Where are you from and what was your area of study in college? I was born and raised in Lewisville, Texas, north of Dallas. I graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2016 with a B.S. in Environmental Science with a focus on marine and coastal resources. What led you to pursue a career in Environmental Science? I have a great love and appreciation for our environment and want to help keep it clean – plus working with my hands while being outdoors is a must for my personal well-being.   Natalie spent the early part of her childhood in Venezuela before moving to Katy, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geoscience with an emphasis on Human Impact on the Environment. Before pursuing a career in environmental science, Natalie studied film but quickly realized her passions lie in science, the environment, and making a positive impact in the world. During her time at A&M, Natalie participated in three very different internship opportunities: one at the EPA Headquarters in Washington; D.C., one at the Office of Sustainability at Texas A&M University; and one at Cheniere Energy, Inc. After graduating, Natalie joined W&M’s Houston operations, and in less than a year, has had an opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects.
