Braun Intertec is pleased to announce Seth Taylor has joined the company as vice president of nondestructive examination (NDE). Taylor brings nearly 25 years of experience within the nondestructive testing industry and advanced NDE techniques including digital radiography and computed tomography to the 100% employee-owned geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and testing firm.

“I am thrilled Seth is joining Braun Intertec to lead our nondestructive examination group,” said CEO Jon Carlson. “His leadership with conventional and advanced NDE techniques will elevate our service capabilities for clients across all market sectors and expand our core competencies as we continue our journey to become the consultant of choice.”

Taylor has a long track record of leadership in business and sales management within the NDE industry. His experience will support the growth of the company’s NDE group and broaden the group’s technical excellence in advanced NDE techniques. Taylor brings a deep understanding of NDE technologies that include computed tomography (CT), industrial radiography, ultrasound, eddy current, visual inspection (borescopes and cameras) and ground penetrating radar.

Taylor joins Braun Intertec as Marv Denne, current NDE Practice Leader and the company’s first NDE employee, transitions out of his leadership role after 40 successful years with Braun Intertec. Denne will spend 2023 passing his leadership duties to Taylor and ensuring a smooth transition for our clients.

“After a long career at Braun Intertec, I am pleased to pass the torch to the next generation of NDE leadership,” said Marv Denne, NDE vice president. “It’s rewarding to see the team we started in the 1980s grow, evolve, and embrace new technology. I’m confident Seth will continue to bring the excellent service and responsiveness our clients have come to expect.”

Before joining Braun Intertec, Taylor was the general manager of North Star Imaging, a global manufacturer of 2D digital radiography and 3D computed tomography technology. He earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nondestructive Testing Technology at Ridgewater College, a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance and a mini-MBA at the University of Minnesota. Taylor has been active in the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), the Nondestructive Testing Management Association and the ISO Committee for 3D Measurement.
