Wading through the Swamp: Wetlands, Endangered Species, and Environmental Assessments

By Braun Intertec

A significant challenge to industry and development is the myriad of regulations related to natural resources. These regulations are often confusing and can add time and expense to projects. Which state and federal regulations apply may depend on site-specific conditions as well as federal agency involvement through permits, public land or funding.  Play the video below to learn as Daniel DeJoode, Ph.D, and Brady Turk cover:

  • Wetlands – delineation, permitting, mitigation
  • Endangered species – review, surveys, and take permits
  • Environmental Review – National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Categorical Exclusions (CE), Environmental Assessments (EA) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS)

The webinar will cover each of these regulatory areas, when and how they can be required for a project, selected case studies, and strategies for successful regulatory compliance and timely project completion. Daniel and Brady will also provide a discussion of recently enacted or proposed changes to federal regulations affecting wetlands, endangered species, and environmental review. This knowledge will help industry, developers, and contractors better understand natural resource regulations to avoid adverse impacts to project budgets and schedules.
