Tell us a bit about yourself, Sally.
I grew up in Malibu, California and received my B.S. in Earth Systems and Minor in Biological Sciences from Stanford University. After working in the Bay Area of California in the environmental consulting industry for a few years, I moved to Austin, Texas. After Austin, I moved to Houston where I eventually found my role here at W&M as a Compliance Division Manager. I specialize in facility-level compliance and permitting in media such as air, wastewater, waste, spill prevention, and chemical reporting for various industries including upstream and midstream oil & gas, manufacturing, and chemical.
How did you get your start in the industry?
I took a summer internship with the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program after graduation then began working for a small environmental consulting firm in Oakland and San Francisco, California that provided soil and groundwater investigation, monitoring, and remediation services, along with industrial hygiene services such as asbestos, mold, lead, and dust sampling, monitoring and abatement. The subjects kept me engaged and I was eager to learn more about the regulations and industry.
What attracted you to W&M?
Friendly, honest faces and leadership with integrity.
What are you excited about with your start at W&M?
I am excited to hear more about leadership’s vision, continue to meet the W&M team, and learn what invokes passion for each individual so we can work to create a finely-tuned machine.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work I love playing with my four-year-old son and six-year-old dog, cooking, Crossfitting, and Powerlifting!
Thanks, Sally! We are excited to have you on board!
